"Real development comes from doing the work that other people skip."
Hamid Safi has spent the last several years competing where the standard is highest — from the Afghanistan U20 National Team on the international stage to Sacramento United MLS Next, one of the top youth development programs in the country.
He played at MLS Next Fest against the best U.S. academy programs and represented his club in a regular-season MLS Next match against Sacramento Republic FC Academy, a national-tier program that has reached the MLS Next Cup semifinals four times since 2021.
Internationally, he traveled to Mexico to compete against professional academies — including Club Bari (Italian Serie B) and Diablos Tesistán (currently ranked #1 of 240 teams in Mexico's Liga TDP).
In his senior season at River City High, he was named Metropolitan League MVP and finished as the league's leading goalscorer with 21 goals in 16 games. He now also plays semi-pro for Iron Rose FC in Roseville.
The training reflects what got him here — relentless technical work, real competitive reps, and the kind of attention to detail that turns potential into performance.
A tighter reel from Hamid's training and match environments: instruction, pressure, and field action in motion.
